The Training Centre has been invaluable to me! Almost two years ago, I had an accident, broke my neck and suffered a serious spinal cord injury. I was paralyzed at first, but with intense therapy, I regained the ability to walk with crutches. After months of rehab, my physical therapy ended and I needed somewhere to continue working out to get stronger and improve. I found The Training Centre (and Sharon and Michael, the fantastic owners)–the answer to my prayers!
Sharon’s background and expertise are just what I need. She puts significant effort into developing and maintaining an exercise program to specifically meet my needs. Add to that her dedication, encouragement, and motivation, and for me, that makes the perfect environment for a great workout!
The equipment and facility are top-notch and the members are friendly and encouraging. I highly recommend The Training Centre!

I would like to thank Sharon and her wonderful staff at The Training Centre. I am 60 years old with many health issues.
These include heart and diabetic problems, nerve damage, back and neck fusions from a car accident, and arthritis. Sharon has helped me tremendously and given me a lot of positive encouragement. I have lost over 28 pounds in under four months and am four pant sizes smaller.
My sugar and blood pressure levels have fallen within normal ranges. I’m not using a cane to walk with as often. I’m able to walk over 3 miles in one hour on the treadmill. I feel the best I have felt in 15 years!

Over the years I have done many different work outs including boot camps and some cross fit. While doing the workouts I would get in better shape but never changed my body type. I am in my late 40’s and have come to accept the weight I have gained. I came to the Training Center 9 months ago with the purpose of feeling stronger and gain energy. Sharon offered to meet with with me to customize a plan to meet my goals. After meeting with Sharon I dedicated myself to the plan. I worked hard even on the days I felt too tired or run down with a cold I still came and got my body moving. If the exercise did not feel good due to old injuries she was there to offer alternatives. Six months later too my surprise my energy level is high, I dropped 2 sizes and lost 17 lbs. Sharon Puluso gave me way more than I ever expected. She is truly a leader in the fitness industry. I have had the pleasure of knowing Sharon Puluso from back in the days of The Fitness Factory. Proudly, I had the honor of being the first customer on the day she opened the doors of her new gym and smile knowing that this wonderful lady is able to realize her vision and share her knowledge and expertise with the passion that she does so consistently. I have been working out since college and continue my workouts at The Training Centre on average five days a week. There are mornings that I just don’t want to do it, but the feeling of wellness and my energy level keep me dedicated to my regime. I am a registered nurse and two months ago while working in the ER, I began to experience obscure chest pain while working a 12-hr. shift. I tried to self assess the pain doing the usual exertion and rest with the pain still persisting. I went to work the next day with continued symptoms and was pulled off the unit with a complete chest pain workup done and admitted for a stress test. Needless to say, I passed the stress test with flying colors being told I have the heart of a 15 year old. (I’m still waiting to be asked to the prom after that one). I remained on the treadmill for 30-minutes at 6.0 speed and 15% incline. Normal duration time for a 52-yr. old is 7-9 minutes. Why do I tell this long, laborious story? This is living proof that working out and leading a healthy lifestyle with proper nutrition and regular exercise is truly important. I had a positive outcome because of my positive practice. My workout is not a chore, it is a integral part of my lifestyle, with my physical and mental well-being positively impacted each and every day! No, I am not, nor have I ever been, the woman who could be on the cover or Shape magazine. I am the mother of four children balancing household, work and volunteering. I just make sure I make time for my health and well being so that I can give the best of myself to those lives I touch. I thank Sharon and Michael for their presence in the fitness industry.
